Kelly & Shan first met in Oct 2019 at the Soho House Club in New York. Sat together in a group of mutual friends, they were engaged in a conversation about Hilary Clinton and her politics. After that first meeting, Shan only knew Kelly's first name and did some serious sleuthing to find her Facebook page. He sent her a message but Kelly rarely used Facebook and eventually got back to him only a month or so later. They kept chatting, had a few dates and Shan declared his love for her on the 3rd date itself. When Kelly was stuck in a hurricane while on a surfing trip, Shan was the only one to check on her well being. It was at this point that they decided that they were meant to be together! Afterwards, Shan took Kelly to Tajikistan for their first trip. But that was one hell of an adventure and Shan made up for it with their second trip to Italy which was much more of a romantic getaway. They eventually decided to get married and 28th Feb 2023 was the date! Kelly made her first trip to India for the wedding and while she was initially taken aback at the challenge of wedding planning, it soon all came together in a lovely ceremony at the Taj Falaknuma Palace in Hyderabad - Shan's hometown.
